With the restrictions from the time of COVID 19 waning, we knew it was time to finally get out for an adventure. Naomi & Mitch had read about the opening of the Toscano Bros. Bakery in North Beach. That sounded like an excellent place to start, for breakfast & caffeine. Mitch had some other shopping in mind in North Beach & Chinatown. Definitely on the list was checking out for the newly opened H Market of Korean foods in the Ocean View neighborhood on southern border of San Francisco. Our SF Chronicle readings made us want to head over the southern border to Daly City for lunch at the recently opened outpost of the Filipino "Jollibee– Home of the Famous Chickenjoy!"

We came especially for the Toscano Bros. Bakery. We had read about its recent opening on May 10th in the SF Chronicle. It seemed like the perfect place to start our food field trip.
Parking took a little while but we ended up only a block or so away; free on Sunday. Altogether not bad for North Beach. Take your time on the next one, it's a wonderful story.

This couple gave us fabulous information about our next stops; pastry & BBQ duck.
They also told us that Longevity Brand was THE best condensed milk.

Good spot in front of The Stinking Rose. We had eaten there decades ago.

We headed south to Alemany Blvd. ...
...in the Ocean View neighborhood of SF and...
...the recently opened H Market of Korean foods. There was no line outside when we got there but there was a loooong one when we left.
