From the garage. 166 Geary Street a.k.a The Grace Building a.ka. Whitell Building c. 1906. "This now-diminutive tower was under construction when the 1906 earthquake hit, and its steel frame on a deep foundation stood tall while the blocks around it burned." More later.

It might have been from the roof of 860 Stockton Street. This was taken Dec. 15th from the 6th floor office of my periodontist in that building.
