The air cleared & we’ve been able to walk, hike & bike ride once again. Of course, we’re continuing to adhere to social distancing & mask wearing. This has all become part of life.
The construction work goes on at the Bon Air Bridge project. We can sometimes hear the clanging & banging at our house, over one mile distant. The continued work on the reconstruction of Sir Francis Drake Blvd. is a lot quieter. They even made the company vehicles’ reverse beeping sounds very quiet.
We’ve been watching shows & movies (especially now the Mill Valley Film Festival), reading & taking classes on line. So many offerings.
Is he on the level?
Boys & their toys.
"Romantic Anonymous" live from The Old Vic Bristol England courtesy of Berkeley Rep. The voice syncing was off. They stopped the production for over ten minutes to correct the problem & then started over from the beginning. Very professional.
Monterey Jazz Festival.
The air quality was not good yet.
Solar power!!!
Northern Pacific Power Systems had a wonderful team of installers, all from Sonoma County. We had two crews because the home one crew was to work on in Glen Ellen had been evacuated due to the encroaching wildfire. They finished in two days instead of the estimated three.
One worker couldn't come on day two because he had to evacuate his family to Sacramento.
Another worker said his girlfriend's folks had lost their house.
The crew worked in 90 deg. heat plus poor AQ & kept their composure.
AQ still not good as shown by this hazy, smoky view of Mt. Tamalpais.
Sunset on the 30th.
Orange moon, by my pal Geo. Osner, on the 30th &...
...hazy, yellow, sunset on the 1st.
We took a N.Y.C. Municipal Art Society (MAS) tour of Park Ave. Lever House was down the block from the Hotel Elysée (our favorite get-a-way) & often had great art displays in the lobby. Then we discovered that our AQ was GOOD! Yippee. We could go out for more than watering the garden or taking out the trash.
