Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, formerly spelled Verrazano, spanning New York Harbor from Brooklyn to Staten Island, built by Othmar H. Ammann from 1959 to 1964.

As they age, the bridge signs are being changed to add the second "z.".

In 1926, Israel Miller hired Louis Friedland to renovate the building at the corner of 46th Street and Broadway for his shoe store. Miller was a Polish immigrant who specialized in bespoke shoes for dancers and actors. Sculptures by Alexander Stirling Calder father of Alexander of mobiles fame & son of Alexander Milne Calder - statues at Philadelphia City Hall.
