Food Field Trip to Little Italy & Chinatown San Francisco or, "Too much of a good thing can be wonderful" Mae West - Sunday May 18, 2021

With the restrictions from the time of COVID 19 waning, we knew it was time to finally get out for an adventure. Naomi & Mitch had read about the opening of the Toscano Bros. Bakery in North Beach. That sounded like an excellent place to start, for breakfast & caffeine. Mitch had some other shopping in mind in North Beach & Chinatown. Definitely on the list was checking out for the newly opened H Market of Korean foods in the Ocean View neighborhood on the southern border of San Francisco. Our SF Chronicle readings made us want to head over the southern border to Daly City for lunch at the recently opened outpost of the Filipino "Jollibee– Home of the Famous Chickenjoy!"

Parking took a little while but we ended up only a block or so away; free on Sunday. Altogether not bad for North Beach.

The 1907 Sentinel Building or Columbus Tower is listed as San Francisco Designated Landmark No. 33. Much of the building is occupied by Francis Ford Coppola' film studio, American Zoetrope.
