After a chilly, foggy crossing of the Golden Gate Bridge we stopped at the Equator Roundhouse Cafe...
...for some caffeine, warmth & sustenance.
The Great Highway was clear for us.
We entered Golden Gate Park at the 2nd windmill.
We meandered through for a while admiring the new & old art work.
These old Doggie Diner heads recently appeared on the formerly JFK Drive & now closed to motor vehicles, JFK Promenade.
We Are On Native Land “For Indigenous Peoples Day, American Indian Cultural District in partnership with Illuminate, Paint the Void, and artist Rachel Znerold invited the community to join together for a poignant mural painting on JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park.”

The overall framework of curving roads & paths traversing forests & meadows, punctuated by lakes & jewel-like gardens, statues & rustic structures in Golden Gate Park were all derived from the prototype that Olmsted, & his partner, Calvert Vaux, created in Central & Prospect Parks.
