111 West 57th Street by SHoP Architects (2022) “is the skinniest skyscraper in the world with a staggering ratio of 24:1…”

“…And it has only one condominium per floor.”

Seen on the right, 432 was one of the first supertalls.

“At the time of its completion in 2015, 432 Park Avenue was the third-tallest building in the United States and the tallest residential building in the world.” This is no longer true.

432 Park Ave., that I’ve mentioned before in blogs, is the tall one on the left.

The supertalls pencil thins/super slenders...have become a concern for New Yorkers. For example, the under construction apartment tower at 262 5th Ave. will block everyone’s views of the Empire State Building from the south.
